Online Orientation

Mandatory Graduate Internship Program Orientations

The on-line Graduate Internship Program orientation is MANDATORY for new program participants. (Not to be confused with Undergraduate Co-op & Internship Orientation). Individual academic departments may host an orientation for the Graduate Internship program in various locations across campus. Students find these targeted sessions most helpful for questions related to their specific majors.

The online orientation can be found at https://gatech-csm.symplicity.com/ (Student / Alumni option) as part of your initial “application” to the graduate co-op program.

  • Under “Experiential Education” tab
  • Co-op/Internship Program Application Information
  • Check “Yes”
  • Select “Graduate”
  • The Experiential Learning Online Orientation will automatically pop up.
  • Review orientation materials
  • Acknowledge
  • Read and agree to the “Statement of Understanding”
  • Enter date and submit

The Graduate Internship Program orientation video explains benefits and the procedures to participate in graduate internship assignments. Because international students are eligible and find the program easy to use in order to obtain U.S. work authorization, questions concerning F-1 and J-1 visa holders are addressed in the orientation  (Note: attendance at a Career Center Orientation for undergraduate programs does not satisfy the requirement for grad students to attend a Graduate Internship Program Orientation.)

Even if you are not sure you will intern, interested graduate students are strongly encouraged to attend.
