College of Engineering

The College of Engineering at Georgia Tech has a long history of excellence. For more than 110 years, Georgia Tech has been producing engineers. Today, we are recognized as one of the nation's top ranked engineering colleges.

Engineering students make up almost sixty percent of the student body at Georgia Tech. With a total of over 8,400 students Tech has one of the largest Colleges of Engineering in the United States. Consisting of 10 separate units, Tech offers engineering degrees in 13 undergraduate programs. In addition, students can choose to pursue a Master's or Ph.D. in one of over 20 areas of concentration. Our undergraduate programs are ABET accredited. The College and its programs are also SACS accredited.

Through the Georgia Tech Regional Engineering Program (GTREP) and various international partnerships such as Georgia Tech Lorraine in Metz, France, and The Logistics Institute - Asia Pacific, the College of Engineering offers opportunities that reach far beyond the metro Atlanta campus.

At the start of the 2002 Fall Semester, the College of Engineering boasted an undergraduate enrollment of over 6,300 students. The current class of incoming students brings with them the highest academic credentials in our history. Current students represent all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and over 100 different countries. In 2002, the Institute celebrates 50 years of women in engineering at Georgia Tech. Additionally we are noted as the #1 producer of African-American engineers in the country.
